I was on the hunt for a very nice young mare and when I found "Lexis" at DNA Quarter Horses out of Minnesota in the spring of 2010, I just knew I had to have her. Darrel and Amy Hall have some of the nicest mares I have seen in bunch. Not too many, but just enough to raise some nice babies. We are so happy to have the addition of Lexis to our horses. Of course all of our horses are for sale, but Lexis is a keeper as far as I am concerned. It would take a pretty penny to take her off my hands. She is such a kind, pretty, and elegant mare. She should mature to around 15.2 hands tall. We plan on starting her the summer of 2011 and get her to some open shows and the State Fair Quarter Show in 2011.

Lexis is enrolled in the AQHA Incentive Fund.

When the horse market fell, we decided to pick up a nice cow-bred mare. I just feel that the market will come back some day, and these nice pedigreed mares are going to be hard to come by. We purchased her from our good friend Darrel Loftesnes. Who says you can't find good horses in your home state and just next door?

Faith is a very pretty mare that is pretty much smarter and quicker than I! I have never had a horse that can run and do a sliding stop and roll back nicer and prettier than her and just playing out in the paddock. She is a true athlete that her pedigree says she is.

Her sire, Mega Powder (aka Rambo), is the neatest horse. He is a talented and proven cow horse. I was given the chance to ride him one time and he had not been ridden for over a year. What a blast I had. He could cut those buffalo like he had been cutting stock all summer long. Thank-you Darrel for the thrill! With the great names of Peppy San Badger, Smart Little Lena, Doc's Sug, and Clark's Doc Bar on her papers, how could she not be a super athletic mare.

Faith was started with the ground work in the fall of 2010. Too many irons in the fire and a full time job delayed the riding. We plan to ride her and bringing her out to some of the events of 2011. Can hardly wait!

I had waited 3 years for Macey's dam, Absolute Affair, to have a filly. She finally had a filly this spring. Macey is a very kind and friendly filly. No she is Absolutely a Doll!! She should mature to around 15.1 hands tall. She has good muscle, straight, and pretty enough that I think my daughter can show her in youth mares. With her breeding and looks, she should make a nice all around mare whether open or breed shows.

We purchased her from Melodie Nelson and Gene Vandeberg from Epping, ND. Their website is http://www.sandhillperformancehorses.com/index.html. Melodie and Gene are some of the nicest people I have met and have some of the nicest and well bred Quarter Horses in the State. Thanks Melodie and Gene for allowing us to purchase this nice filly (thank-you Gene for allowing us to take her home). These pics are not the best of Macey but all I have and will be updating them this spring.

We plan on doing the ground work on Macey this summer and getting a good foundation on her training. Watch for Macey at some of the Open shows and the ND State Fair Quarter Show in 2011.
